On March 31, 2016 JCSD Deputy Robert Henley responded to CR 1000 E near
Crothersville for a burglary report. A neighbor had seen a suspicious vehicle in
the area of a residence and reported it to the home owner. Deputy Henley met
with the home owner and they found several items missing from two
out buildings. The items missing were cordless power tools, window A/C units,
lights and other hand tools.
Deputy Henley and Crothersville Chief Richard Hanlin located two suspects on CR
1000 E and arrested Korey Lee Sparrow and Benjamin Tyler Wayne Pearson for
Burglary and Theft. Henley was able to locate the stolen items in a garage at
Sparrow's residence and return all of the stolen items to the victim. While
recovering the stolen items Henley also located an indoor marijuana growing
operation and several items of paraphernalia used in the consumption of
marijuana and methamphetamine. Korey Sparrow also faces charges of Possession of
marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
