Website Tip Leads to Drug Arrest

Brian Christopher Willman

Acting on information from the Jackson County Jail Commander, North Vernon police arrested two Seymour residents on drug charges while attempting to serve a Jackson County Level 6 Felony Warrant.

The Jackson County Jail received an anonymous tip through its website, www.jacksoncountysheriffin.org about the possible location of a person wanted on a Jackson County Felony Warrant.

North Vernon officer Lucas Newsom and Detective Ivory Sandefur followed up on that information and located Brain Willman, 34, of Seymour in an apartment in the 500 block of Brownstown Road, in North Vernon.

Willman was arrested at the apartment on the Jackson County Warrant for Strangulation, Domestic Battery, Criminal Confinement, and Interference with Reporting of a Crime. Officers also located drug paraphernalia and 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, several methamphetamine smoking pipes and a set of digital scales.

In addition to the Jackson County Warrant, Willman also faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia in Jennings County. Willman is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail.

A female at the apartment, Kaylena Tungate, 27, of Seymour, was also arrested and is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.
