WANTED: Posse Members

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Posse is accepting applications for membership.

Membership requirements are as follows;

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Property owner or resident of Jackson County, Indiana or any adjoining County.

Dedicated to the purposes of this membership.

Approval by majority vote at any given meeting.

Be subject to a criminal background check.

Horse ownership not required, but member must have horse and tack available for use.

Must attend 4 meetings and 5 work details per year.

Applications are available at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
