Monday 01/23/2017 12:56 PM

Crothersville Chief of Police Brent Turner spotted an older model Toyota truck parked on County Road 400 South, east of US Highway 31 in Vernon Township.

Turner stopped to check on the truck and found 21 year old Tamra Hamilton of rural Seymour inside the truck and unresponsive. Crothersville Fire Department and Jackson County Ambulance were called to the scene. Jackson County Sheriff's Detective Bob Lucas was close by and also responded.

Crothersville Firefighters were already providing oxygen to Hamilton when Lucas arrived. Detective Lucas provided the Firefighters with Naloxone, who quickly administered it to Hamilton. Hamilton received a second dose of Naloxone when Jackson County EMS arrived.

After being treated Hamilton was breathing and conscious. She was then transported to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for further evaluation.

Crothersville Chief Turner is in charge of the investigation.
