Jail Officer Celebrates 35 Years

Clyde Davidson with his "New" Chevy Cobalt

On January 1, 2017, Jail Officer Clyde Davidson celebrated 35 years of employment with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

As Clyde’s co-workers pondered the best way to celebrate this milestone, one jail officer said he knew that Clyde was in need of a newer, more reliable vehicle, and felt that we should find a way to get him a better one. So the plan was in place. We would buy Clyde a car!

In just a few days a significant amount of money was collected and the search was on for just the right car. With the help of Bob Poynter Chevrolet, Clyde was presented with a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt complete with a full tank of gas, and a whole year’s worth of insurance.

Officer Davidson,

We congratulate you on 35 Years of Dedicated Service, and offer a sincere THANK YOU for your continued commitment to the citizens of Jackson County.

We are proud to call you our friend, and wish you continued success in serving your fellow citizens with honor!
